Amplifier Repair & Restoration

Work

Amplifiers

I have a passion for maintaining, servicing and keeping tube amplifiers alive and healthy. Servicing guitar amplifiers built 1945 to 1990. Fender, Marshall, Vox, Ampeg, Gibson, Epiphone, Magnatone, Danelectro (Silvertone, Airline), Valco (Supro, Gretsch, National, Oahu, Bronson), Orange, Hiwatt, Selmer, Watkins, WEM, Sovtek, Peavey, Premier, Univox, Sunn, Sano and Hilgren.

BillM type modifications for new Fender models (Blues Junior, Deluxe, DeVille).

Chinese made Vox AC30/AC15 upgrades available.

I do not service solid state amplifiers, digital modeling amplifiers, post-1990 Marshall amplifiers, amplifiers made in China, Line 6 products or any amplifier that is filthy.

All Roland Jazz Chorus models are welcome.

Tape Echoes

Servicing all Echoplex models, all Roland models, Watkins Copicat, Klemt Echolette and Univox. I also repair/restore Tel-Ray/Adienko Oil Can Delay/Echo as well as Binson Echorec's. Most of these units are 50+ years old. Maintenance is required to keep them sounding and functioning to the best of their ability. Tape gets old. Tape gets worn out. Rubber rollers no longer grab the tape the way they should. Heads get dirty. Head alignment is off. Felts and tension aren't doing their job. Electrolytic caps expire. I order parts from Echofix in Australia.
